<다윗의 시>

<A Psalm of David.>

1 제가 자비와 공의를 노래하겠나이다. 오, 주여, 제가 당신께 노래하겠나이다.

1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

2 제가 완전한 길 안에서 지혜롭게 처신하겠나이다. 오, 당신께서 언제 저에게 오시겠나이까? 제가 저의 집 안에서 완전한 마음으로 살아가겠나이다.

2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

3 제가 저의 두 눈 앞에 사악한 것을 두지 아니하겠나이다. 제가 길에서 벗어나는 자들의 행위를 증오하나이다. 그것이 저에게 달라붙지 못하리이다.

3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

4 왜곡된 마음이 저에게서 떠나리이다. 저는 어떤 사악한 인물도 알지 아니하겠나이다.

4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

5 누구나 자기 이웃을 은밀히 중상하는 자는 제가 끊어 버리겠나이다. 거만한 눈길과 교만한 마음을 지닌 자는 제가 용납하지 아니하겠나이다.

5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

6 저의 두 눈이 그 지역의 신실한 자들 위에 있으리니, 그들이 저와 함께 거하게 하려 함이니이다. 완전한 길 가운데 살아가는 자, 그가 저를 섬기리이다.

6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

7 속임수를 행하는 자는 저의 집 안에 거하지 못하리이다. 거짓말들을 떠벌리는 자는 저의 목전에 머물지 못하리이다.

7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

8 제가 그 지역의 사악한 자들을 모두 일찍 멸하겠나이다. 이는 사악한 짓을 일삼는 모든 자들을 제가 주의 도성으로부터 끊으려 함이니이다.

8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
