1 제가 저의 목소리로 주께 부르짖었나이다. 제가 저의 목소리로 주께 저의 간구를 드렸나이다.

1 I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.

2 제가 저의 한탄을 그분 앞에 쏟아 놓았으니, 저는 저의 곤경을 그분 앞에 보여 드렸나이다.

2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3 저의 영이 제 안에서 압도당하던 그때 당신께서 저의 행로를 아셨나이다. 제가 다녔던 길에 그들이 저를 노리고 은밀히 올무를 놓았나이다.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4 제가 저의 오른편을 바라보고 살펴보았으나, 저를 알려고 하는 사람이 없었나이다. 피난처가 저를 실망시켰나이다. 저의 혼을 돌보는 사람이 전혀 없었나이다.

4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5 오, 주여, 제가 당신께 부르짖었나이다. 제가 말하기를, “당신께서는 나의 피난처시요, 살아 있는 자들의 지역에서 나의 몫이니이다.” 하였나이다.

5 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6 저의 부르짖음에 주의하여 들어주소서. 이는 제가 매우 낮아지기 때문이니이다. 저의 박해자들로부터 저를 구출하소서. 이는 그들이 저보다 더 강하기 때문이니이다.

6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7 제가 당신의 이름을 찬송할 수 있도록 저의 혼을 감옥에서 데리고 나가 주소서. 의로운 자들이 저의 주변을 둘러싸리이다. 이는 당신께서 저에게 후대하실 것이기 때문이니이다.

7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
