<A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.>

1 주여, 저를 괴롭게 하는 자들이 얼마나 늘어나는지요! 저를 대적하여 들고일어나는 자들이 많나이다.

1 LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

2 저의 혼에 관하여 말하기를, “하나님께는 그를 위한 도움이 없도다.” 하는 많은 이들이 있나이다. 셀라.

2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

3 그러나 오, 주여, 당신께서는 저를 위한 방패이시요, 나의 영광이시며, 제 머리를 들어 올리는 분이시니이다.

3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

4 내가 나의 목소리로 주께 부르짖었더니, 그분께서 그분의 거룩한 언덕에서 나의 말을 들으셨도다. 셀라.

4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

5 내가 내 몸을 뉘어 잠들었고, 또 내가 깨어났도다. 이는 주께서 나를 지탱하셨기 때문이라.

5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

6 나는 수만 명의 백성이 나를 대적하여 주위에 진을 친다고 해도 무서워하지 아니하겠노라.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

7 오, 주여, 일어나소서. 오, 나의 하나님이여, 저를 구원하소서. 이는 당신께서 저의 모든 원수들의 광대뼈를 치셨기 때문이니이다. 당신께서 불경건한 자들의 이를 부러뜨리셨나이다.

7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 구원은 주께 속하나이다. 당신의 복은 당신의 백성 위에 있나이다. 셀라.

8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
