<To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.>

1 오, 막강한 사람아, 어찌하여 네가 스스로 악독함을 자랑하느냐? 하나님의 선하심은 꾸준히 지속되는도다.

1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

2 너의 혀는 날카로운 면도칼처럼 가득한 속임수로 활동하면서 악독한 것들을 고안하는도다.

2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3 너는 선보다 악을 더 사랑하는도다. 또 의를 전하는 것보다 오히려 거짓말하는 것을 더 사랑하는도다. 셀라.

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4 오, 너, 속임수로 가득한 혀야, 너는 집어삼키는 모든 말들을 사랑하는도다.

4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5 하나님께서도 마찬가지로 너를 영원토록 멸하시리라. 그분께서 너를 제거하시고 너의 거주지에서 너를 뽑아 내시며 산 자들의 지역에서 너를 뿌리 뽑으시리라. 셀라.

5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

6 의로운 자들도 보고 두려워할 것이요, 또 그를 비웃으리니,

6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

7 “보라, 이 사람은 하나님을 그의 힘으로 삼지 아니한 자로다. 오히려 자신의 재물들의 풍부함을 신뢰하였고 자신의 사악함 가운데 스스로를 강화시켰도다.” 하리라.

7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

8 그러나 나는 하나님의 집에 있는 푸른 올리브나무와 같도다. 나는 하나님의 자비를 영원무궁토록 신뢰하는도다.

8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 당신께서 그 일을 행하셨으므로 제가 영원토록 당신을 찬송하겠나이다. 그리고 제가 당신의 이름을 고대하겠나이다. 이는 그것이 당신의 성도들 앞에 선한 것이기 때문이니이다.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
