<악장에게, 다윗의 시편>

<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>

1 내가 나의 신뢰를 주께 두노라. 어떻게 너희는 나의 혼에게 말하기를, “새처럼 너희의 산으로 도망하라.” 하느냐?

1 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 이는 보라, 사악한 자들이 그들의 활을 당기기 때문이라. 그들이 자신들의 화살을 활시위 위에 준비하나니, 그들이 마음이 올바른 자를 은밀히 쏘려 함이라.

2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3 기초들이 무너지면 의로운 자가 무엇을 할 수 있으랴?

3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 주께서는 그분의 거룩한 전 안에 계시며, 주의 보좌는 하늘에 있도다. 그분의 눈들은 사람들의 자녀들을 보시고, 그분의 눈꺼풀들은 사람들의 자녀들을 시험하시는도다.

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 주께서는 의로운 자들을 시험하시는도다. 그러나 사악한 자와 폭력을 사랑하는 자는 그분의 혼이 증오하시는도다.

5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 그분께서 사악한 자들에게 올무들과 불과 유황과 끔찍한 광풍을 비처럼 내리시리라. 이것이 그들의 잔의 몫이 되리라.

6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

7 이는 의로우신 주께서 의를 사랑하시기 때문이라. 그분의 얼굴은 올바른 자를 보시는도다.

7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
