<To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David.>

1 오, 나의 의의 하나님이여, 제가 부를 때 제 말을 들어주소서. 제가 괴로움 속에 있었을 때 당신께서 저를 넓히셨나이다. 저에게 자비를 베푸시고 제 기도를 들어주소서.

1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2 오, 너희, 사람들의 아들들아, 얼마나 오랫동안 너희가 나의 영광을 수치로 바꾸겠느냐? 얼마나 오랫동안 너희가 헛된 것을 사랑하고 허위를 추구하겠느냐? 셀라.

2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3 그러나 주께서 자신을 위하여 경건한 자를 따로 세우셨음을 알라. 주께서는 내가 그분을 부를 때 들으시리라.

3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

4 경외심을 갖고 죄를 짓지 말라. 너희의 침상 위에서 너희 자신의 마음과 대화하고 잠잠하라. 셀라.

4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5 의의 희생 제물들을 바치고 너희의 신뢰를 주께 두라.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6 이같이 말하는 많은 사람들이 있나니, “누가 우리에게 어떤 선이라도 보여 주겠느냐?” 하나이다. 주여, 친히 당신의 얼굴빛을 드시어 우리 위에 비추소서.

6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7 당신께서 제 마음속에 흡족함을 두셨으니, 그들의 곡식과 그들의 포도즙이 늘어났던 때의 흡족함보다 더하나이다.

7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8 제가 평안 가운데 드러눕기도 하고 자기도 하리이다. 이는 주여, 오직 당신만이 저를 안전함 가운데 지내게 하시기 때문이니이다.

8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
