<다윗의 시편>
<A Psalm of David.>
1 나의 힘이신 주께서 찬양받으시기를 바라노라. 그분께서 나의 두 손을 가르쳐 전쟁하게 하시고 나의 손가락들을 가르쳐 싸우게 하시는도다.
1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 그분께서는 나의 선함이시요, 나의 견고한 요새시요, 나의 높은 망대시요, 나의 구출자시요, 나의 방패시요, 내가 신뢰하는 분이시요, 나의 백성을 내 아래에 복종시키는 분이시라.
2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
3 주여, 사람이 무엇이기에 당신께서 그를 알아주시나이까! 아니면 사람의 아들이 무엇이기에 당신께서 그를 중히 여기시나이까!
3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 사람은 헛된 것과 같나이다. 그의 날들은 사라져 버리는 그림자 같나이다.
4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 오, 주여, 당신의 하늘들을 굽히시고 내려오소서. 산들에 손을 대소서. 그리하면 그것들이 연기를 내리이다.
5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 번개를 내어 던지시고 그들을 흩으소서. 당신의 화살들을 쏘시어 그들을 멸하소서.
6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
7 위로부터 당신의 손을 보내소서. 거대한 물들로부터, 타국 자녀들의 손으로부터 저를 벗어나게 하시고 구출하여 주소서.
7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
8 그들의 입은 헛된 것을 말하나니, 그들의 오른손은 거짓의 오른손이니이다.
8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 오, 하나님이여, 제가 당신께 새 노래를 노래하겠나이다. 솔터리와 십현 악기에 맞추어 제가 당신께 찬송들을 노래하겠나이다.
9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
10 왕들에게 구원을 주시는 분은 그분이시니이다. 당신께서는 자신의 종 다윗을 그 해로운 칼에서 구출하시나이다.
10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
11 저를 타국 자녀들의 손으로부터 벗어나게 하시고 구출하여 주소서. 그들의 입은 헛된 것을 말하나니, 그들의 오른손은 거짓의 오른손이니이다.
11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
12 이는 우리의 아들들이 마치 그들의 어린 시절에 자라난 초목들 같게 하려 함이요, 우리의 딸들이 궁전의 모습을 따라 광이 나는 모퉁잇돌들 같게 하려 함이요,
12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
13 우리의 곡식 창고들이 모든 부류의 저장물을 공급하여 가득 차게 하려 함이요, 우리의 양들이 우리의 거리들에서 수천과 수만을 낳게 하려 함이요,
13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
14 우리의 소들이 튼튼하여 일하게 하려 함이요, 침입당하는 일도 밖으로 나가는 일도 없게 하려 함이요, 우리의 거리들에서 불평하는 일이 없게 하려 함이니이다.
14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
15 이 같은 경우에 있는 백성은 행복하나이다. 진정 자신들의 하나님이 주이신 백성은 행복하나이다.
15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
