<A Song of degrees.>

1 주께서 시온의 포로 신세를 다시 돌려놓으셨을 때 우리는 꿈꾸는 자들과 같았노라.

1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 그때 우리 입은 웃음으로, 우리 혀는 노래로 가득 채워졌도다. 그때 이교도들 가운데 거하는 자들이 말하기를, “주께서 그들을 위하여 위대한 일들을 행하셨도다.” 하였도다.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

3 주께서 우리를 위하여 위대한 일들을 행하셨도다. 그것에 관하여 우리가 흡족하도다.

3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

4 오, 주여, 남쪽에 있는 개울들처럼 우리의 포로 신세를 다시 돌려놓으소서.

4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

5 눈물들을 흘리며 씨를 뿌리는 자들은 즐거움으로 거두리로다.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 귀한 씨를 가지고 나가면서 우는 자는 반드시 크게 기뻐하며 자신의 단들을 가지고 돌아오리로다.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
