<A Song of degrees.>
1 오, 하늘들 안에 거하시는 당신이여, 제가 당신께 저의 두 눈을 들어 올리나이다.
1 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 보소서, 마치 종들의 눈이 그들 주인들의 손을 바라보듯이, 마치 시녀의 두 눈이 그녀의 여주인의 손을 바라보듯이, 이처럼 저희의 눈이 주 우리 하나님을 기다리되, 그분께서 저희에게 자비를 베푸실 때까지 그리하나이다.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 오, 주여, 저희에게 자비를 베푸소서. 저희에게 자비를 베푸소서. 이는 멸시로 저희가 극도로 채워져 있기 때문이니이다.
3 Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 안락한 자들의 경멸과 교만한 자들의 멸시로 저희의 혼이 극도로 채워져 있나이다.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
