시편 51편

<악장에게, 다윗의 시편, 그가 밧셰바에게 들어간 후에 예언자 나단이 그에게 왔을 때>

<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.>

1 오, 하나님이여, 당신의 인애하심에 따라 저에게 자비를 베푸소서. 당신의 온화한 자비들의 허다함에 따라 저의 불법들을 지워 버리소서.

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2 저의 죄악으로부터 저를 철저하게 씻으시고 저의 죄로부터 저를 정결하게 하소서.

2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 이는 제가 저의 불법들을 인정하기 때문이니이다. 또 저의 죄가 언제나 제 앞에 있나이다.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4 당신, 오직 당신을 대적하여 제가 죄를 지었고, 당신의 목전에서 이러한 악을 행하였나이다. 이는 당신께서 말씀하실 때 친히 정당함을 입증받으시도록 하려 함이요, 당신께서 심판하실 때 무결하게 되시도록 하려 함이니이다.

4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

5 보소서, 제가 죄악 가운데 형성되었으며, 저의 어머니가 죄 가운데 저를 잉태하였나이다.

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 보소서, 당신께서는 심중에 있는 진실을 열망하시나이다. 또 당신께서는 저에게 감추어진 부분 속에 있는 지혜를 알게 하시리이다.

6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 저를 우슬초로 깨끗하게 하소서. 그리하면 제가 정결해지리이다. 저를 씻으소서. 그리하면 제가 눈보다 더 하얗게 되리이다.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 당신께서 꺾으신 뼈들이 크게 기뻐할 수 있도록 저로 하여금 즐거움과 희열의 소리를 듣게 하소서.

8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 저의 죄들로부터 당신의 얼굴을 숨기시고 저의 모든 죄악들을 지워 버리소서.

9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 오, 하나님이여, 제 안에 정결한 마음을 창조하소서. 그리하여 바른 영을 제 안에서 새롭게 하소서.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 당신의 면전에서 저를 내치지 마소서. 또 당신의 거룩한 영을 저에게서 거두지 마소서.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 제게 당신의 구원의 즐거움을 회복시켜 주소서. 그리하여 당신의 자유로운 영으로 저를 지탱하소서.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

13 그리하시면 제가 불법자들에게 당신의 길들을 가르치겠나이다. 그리하면 죄인들이 당신께로 회심하리이다.

13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 오, 하나님이여, 저의 구원의 하나님이신 당신이여, 피 흘린 죄에서 저를 구출하소서. 그리하시면 저의 혀가 당신의 의를 크게 노래하리이다.

14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 오, 주여, 당신께서 저의 입술을 여소서. 그리하시면 저의 입이 당신의 찬송을 널리 알리리이다.

15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

16 이는 당신께서 희생 제물을 바라지 아니하시기 때문이니이다. 그렇지 아니하였더라면 제가 그것을 드렸을 것이니이다. 당신께서는 번제물을 크게 즐거워하지 아니하시나이다.

16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 하나님의 희생 제물들은 상한 영이니이다. 오, 하나님이여, 당신께서는 상하고 참회하는 마음을 멸시하지 아니하시리이다.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

18 당신의 선한 기쁨으로 시온에게 선을 행하소서. 당신께서는 예루살렘의 성벽들을 건축하소서.

18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19 그때 당신께서 의의 희생 제물들을, 번제물과 통으로 드리는 번제물을 기뻐하시리이다. 그때 그들이 당신의 제단 위에 수송아지들을 바치리이다.

19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
