시편 124편
<단계별로 올라가는 다윗의 노래>
<A Song of degrees of David.>
1 이제 이스라엘은 이같이 말할 것이라. “만일 주께서 우리 편에 계시지 아니하였더라면,
1 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2 사람들이 우리를 대적하여 들고일어났을 때 주께서 우리 편에 계시지 아니하였더라면,
2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3 그들의 진노가 우리를 대적하여 타올랐던 그때 그들은 우리를 산 채로 삼켜 버렸을 것이요,
3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4 그때 물들이 우리를 압도하고 물줄기가 우리의 혼을 덮쳤을 것이요,
4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5 그때 그 교만한 물들이 우리의 혼을 덮쳤으리라.”
5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6 우리를 그들의 이에 먹이로 내주지 아니하신 주께서 찬양받으시기를 바라노라.
6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7 우리의 혼이 새 사냥꾼들의 올무에서 벗어난 새같이 벗어나는도다. 그 올무가 끊어지고, 우리는 벗어나는도다.
7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8 우리의 도움은 하늘과 땅을 만드신 주의 이름 안에 있도다.
8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
